She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul A. Bessinger and Clara V. Bessinger (Davis); her husband Joseph A. Ashby Sr.; her brother Paul Bessinger Jr.; her sister-in-law Lois Bessinger; and her close friend Violet Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Ashby Carlson (Doug), Diane Ashby Bresson (Ken), Joseph Ashby Jr. (Lynne) and James Ashby (Meredith); her grandchildren, Christina Carlson Quensen, Michael Carlson, Kelley Holahan Johnson, Kristin Holahan Snellings, Leigh Holahan, Ryan Ashby and Renee Ashby; and her great grandchildren, Erik Carlson, Noah Quensen, Eli Quensen, Charlie Snellings and Ryshan. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Eastford Baptist Church (133 Union Rd, Eastford, CT 06242).
