He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Edgerton (Schwab) and Irwin Edgerton; his wife Freda; his son Mark; and his granddaughter Sara.

He is survived by: his children, Reid Edgerton (Kelly) and Carol Briand (Geoffrey); his sister Grace Edgerton; his grandchildren, Matthew Briand (Amy), Peter Briand, Chloe and Emily Edgerton; and his great grandchildren, Derrick, Haley, Ethan and William Briand.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are being accepted by CHCC in Charlie's name to further promote tradespeople in Connecticut.
