He is survived by: his spouse Eleanor R.; his parent Johanna Geary (Flaherty); his daughter Margaret Ann (Ajay Arora) of South Windsor; his daughters-in-law, Thomas Geary, Deborah Geary of Virginia, Daniel Geary and Lisa Geary of Rhode Island; his grandchildren, Abigail Geary, Elizabeth Geary and Sarah Geary; and his siblings, William and Mary. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and a nephew.
