It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert McKay (South Windsor, Connecticut), who passed away on March 10, 2020, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert McKay to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara McKay (Muldoon) and Charles McKay. He is survived by: his wife Candida Stapleton McKay; his sons, Gavin Michael McKay and Grady Daniel McKay; his stepchildren, Natalie Krebs and Benjamin Krebs; his brother Donald "Skip" McKay (Luanne); his nephews, Dalton, Justin and Steven; his siblings, Patti McKay, Jeff McKay and John McKay (Francine); his close friend Dan Moore; his aunt Maryellen Muldoon; and his cousins, Mike Muldoon (Jeannie), Pam (Mike) and Rick (Heather). He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and more friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Robert's name to ECSU (Eastern Connecticut State University) foundation, checks can be sent to the Development office Eastern CT State U, 83 Windham St., Willimantic 06226, with the memo line filled in "McKay Memorial"; or take your children out to dinner and tell them how much you love them.

“Candida, it was with great sadness that I read of Bob's death. I used to work at Aetna, Hartford and met you and renewed my friendship with Bob at the Memorial service for the Pulse Nightclub victims in the Cathedral in Hartford. My memories of Bob revolve around the Concert band at RHAM and him with his tenor sax hanging from his neck. We both went to Eastern and we would run into each other every so often. He was kind and I counted him as a friend. I am so sorry for your loss. Michael Donnelly”
