He was predeceased by: his parents, Jorge Andrés Nieto and Teodolinda of Nieto; and his siblings, José, Luís and Olga.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Nieto (Courville); his children, Dr. Andrés Nieto (Jennifer Dreiling) of Cheshire, CT and Andréa Piotrowski (Bill Piotrowski) of Manchester, CT; his brother Gustavo Nieto of Bogotá, Colombia.; and his grandchildren, Will, Alejandra Piotrowski, Alexander and Christian Nieto. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
