It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nelson Caye of South Windsor, Connecticut, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson J. Caye and Ida Caye (Copping); his sister Dorothy Bentley; and his brother-in-law Charles Saimond. He is survived by: his wife Helen M. Caye (Saimond); his children, George S. Caye (Maria) of South Windsor, Gary A. Caye (Maureen) of Ashford and Johnna J. Hankard of Stafford Springs; his grandchildren, Matthew Caye, David Caye, Sarah Caye, Nicholas Caye and Thomas Caye; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Saimond (Patricia) of South Windsor and Joan Saimond of Manchester.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home (419 Buckland Rd, South Windsor, CT 06074).
