She was predeceased by: her spouse Russell H. Gilbert Sr.; her parents, Felix James McGuire and Florence Eva McGuire (Sweetland); and her sisters, Mary Jane Houle, Rita Roberge and Barbara Kennedy.

She is survived by: her children, Russell H. Gilbert Jr. (Patricia) of Soldiers Grove, WI, Richard Gilbert (Dianne) of South Windsor, Donna Kaeser (James) of Willington, Deborah, Santos (Victor) of Glastonbury and Brian Gilbert of West Suffield. She is also survived by grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and numerous wonderful friends and neighbors.
