He was predeceased by: his wife Regina Bednarz (Niklinski); his parents, John Bednarz and Helen Bednarz (Formeister); his sister Barbara Martin; and his great grandchild Harper Culpepper.
He is survived by: his children, John Bednarz (Diane) of Emerson, NJ, Julia Alcutt (Walt) of Ellington, CT, Joel Bednarz (Maureen) of West Hartford, CT and Joy Culpepper (Steve) of Hazel Green, AL.; his sister Frances Jakubiak of Meriden, CT.; his grandchildren, Ben, Johnny, Andrew, Christopher, Zac, Nick, Katie, Sam, Cara, Ali, Kirsten and Liberty; and his great grandchildren, Derek, Killian, Chandler, Jack, Elijah, Francis, Julia and Eden.
