He was predeceased by: his wife Marion Fitzgerald (Crerar); his parents, William Fitzgerald and Katherine Fitzgerald (Coughlin); his brother William "Bill" Fitzgerald; and his brothers-in-law, Tony Antoch and Oscar Pierson.
He is survived by: his children, Linda King of South Windsor, John Fitzgerald of South Windsor and Diane Nadeau (Paul) of Storrs; his grandchildren, Kristen Russell (Marcus) of Suffield and Jonathan King (Natasha) of Vernon; his great grandchild Alyssa King; his sisters, Mary Antoch of Hamden and Dorothy Pierson of Pawcatuck; and his sister-in-law Delores Fitzgerald. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
