He is survived by: his wife Christa Weischedel; his daughters, Anne-Katrin Weischedel and Christina Deptulski; his son-in-law Stephen Deptulski; his grandchildren, Aoife Weischedel and Aidan Weischedel; and his sister-in-law Brigitta (Uli Krueger).
