It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Irene Carpy of South Windsor, Connecticut, born in East Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on December 4, 2021, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Carpy and Teofilia Carpy (Zagorski); and her sister Albina Nasuta. She is survived by: her nieces, Barbara O'Brien (Richard) of Parish, FL and Evelyn Bixby of Enfield, CT. She is also survived by several grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews.

“My name will mean nothing to the family, but my sister, Maureen, and I drove by Helen's house almost daily for many years. We always waved and called hello (even if we didn't see her, we always thought of her). We had not seen any lights on at the house over the last week or so - one loses track of time so easily - and have been watching the obits with trepidation. Seeing the notice today made us very sad, indeed. We hope the family will accept our sincere condolences. Susan Hooper”
