It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elinor D. Tierney of South Windsor, Connecticut, who passed away on December 15, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elinor D. Tierney to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James A Mulranan and Margaret Mulranan; her husband Richard; her children, Nancy Durig (Robert) of Overland Park, KS, Mary Tierney (Dennis Jenkins) of Coventry, Christine Tierney (John Igneri) of Rowayton, Richard of Oban and Megan Tierney of South Windsor; and her grandchildren, Daniel (Catherine), Kerry (Ian), Shannon (Mike), Michael (Emily), Donald (Rachel), Anna (Jen), Caitlin (James), Ben (Sydney), Caleigh (Abner) and Brigid (Jason). She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
She was game to try anything that her family was doing and stayed current with technology to be able to communicate, learning how to Zoom during the pandemic so she could participate in lively weekly meetings with her children and how to text and use Instagram to stay in touch with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
