He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Colwell and Emily Colwell (Mitchell); his wife Althea (Andrews); and his siblings, George F. and Rachel Colwell.
He is survived by: his sons, Theodore Colwell (Eileen) of South Windham and Randall Colwell (Bonnie) of Tolland; his grandchildren, Adrienne Plourde (Brian), Meredith Swisher (Ian), Ryan Colwell (Shelby) and Sarah DeLuca (John); and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Olivia Plourde, Alexa, Taelyn Colwell, Adalyn and Logan DeLuca. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
