He was predeceased by: his wife Emily Horton (Blanchard); and his parents, Howard H. Horton, Sr. and Santina Horton (Rocco). He is survived by: his son Kenneth Horton; his grandchildren, Natalie, Brian and Emily Horton of South Glastonbury; his niece Dona Hylas (Paul); and his nephews, Paul Figurela (Anne) and Eugene Figurela.
