He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Collyer (Erskine) and Walter Collyer; his sister Annie Sutton; his brothers-in-law, Dick Barbieri and Jason Arkin; and his nephew Bruce Arkin.
He is survived by: his stepfather Albert Collyer; his wife Roberta Collyer (Smith); his children, Albert Ernest Collyer III (Theresa) of Middletown and Amy Roach (James) of Vernon; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan Collyer and Lex Roach; his sister Rita Barbieri of Southington; and his siblings-in-law, Maxine Arkin of Venice, FL and Jack Sutton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
