He is survived by: his children, Troy Maia of Somers, CT and Mikayla Maia of Enfield, CT.; his parents, Denise Maia (Michael Thomas) of Monson, MA and Edward Maia of Monson, MA.; his siblings, Elizabeth Cardaropoli (Jesse) of Monson and Mark Maia (Allison Reed) of Somers, CT.; and his nephews, Mark Anthony and Alex Maia of Somers.
