With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lillian McCalligett of Somers, Connecticut, born in Boston, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Lillian shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lillian farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her son James "Jimmy" McCalligett; her son-in-law Kenneth Battige; her sister Ruth Ferreira; and her great grandchild Connor Bullock. She is survived by: her husband George McCalligett of Somers; her children, Maryanne Battige of Enfield and Robert McCalligett (Pauline) of Somers; her granddaughters, Heather Bullock (Michael) and Jennifer Battige; and her great grandchildren, Danny, Matthew and Kaitlyn.
