As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Faith may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Merkel and Marion Merkel (Knapp); her brother Charles Merkel; and her husband Albert Gelinas. She is survived by: her children, Beth Rude (Jeffrey) of Colchester, CT and Eric Gelinas (Jessica) of Canton, CT; her grandchildren, John Dwyer, Michael Dwyer, Joel Gelinas and Hope Gelinas; and her sisters-in-law, Joanne Merkel, Sandra Gelinas and Elaine Slosek.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Somers Congregational Church (599 Main St #190, Somers, CT 06071).
