Richard Rogers Obituary
We bid farewell to Richard Rogers of Simsbury, Connecticut, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 22, 2025 at the age of 84. Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rogers and Florence Rogers (Cleary); and his brother James. He is survived by: his children, Richard Rogers (Tammi) of Charlotte, NC, Timothy Rogers (Janet) of Weston, CT and Karen Griffin (Tom) of East Granby, CT; his grandchildren, Erin, Kathleen, Meghan, Ben (Molly), Emily, Drew, Jillian, Rachel, Emma and Sean; the mother of his children Rosemary Rogers; his sister-in-law Sheila Rogers (Bree); and his nieces and nephews, Susan, James, Deborah, Sheila, Michael, Kathleen and Timothy. He is also survived by his family and took great pride in his children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Simsbury (880 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury, CT 06070). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Church (267 Stratton Brook Rd, West Simsbury, CT 06092). A burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at the St. Anthony's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Northwest Connecticut YMCA, United Way, the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Association.
