He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Garland and Agnes Garland (Carlson); and his brother Robert Garland. He is survived by: his grandson Logan Richard; his wife Terry Carreira Garland; his daughters, Emily-Anne Garland (David Bates) of Portland, ME and Jody Garland Rosario (Melvin Rosario) of Milton, MA; and his grandson Logan Richard Rosario.
