Irving Lewis Morris Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irving Lewis Morris Jr. of Simsbury, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 22, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Irving Lewis' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Irving Lewis has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Morris and Mary Morris (MacLean); his son Jonathan; and his sister Elizabeth Sampson (Morris). He is survived by: his daughter Julia Ogden (Steven) of Byfield, MA; his grandsons, Malcolm and Christopher of Portland, ME; and his nephews, Christopher Denny, Stephen Denny and Timothy Sampson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Church of Christ (689 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury, CT 06070).
When asked where he might want memorial donations to go one day, he asked that people just be nice to one another.
