He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Hazel Schuurman Cooke; his children, Nancy, Richard, Robert and Dale; his children-in-law, Bill Bunnell, Elaine Cooke, Wendy Cooke and Carol Moore; his grandchildren, Heather (Brandon Munson), Jesse (Devlin), Jenna (Cody Berg), Jason (Lindsey), Melissa (Adam Freeman) and Conner Cooke; and his great grandchildren, Isaac, Levi, Zuzu, Ari, Kinley, Laiken and Caleb.
