He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Nixa and Jean Dauplais Nixa; and his sister Jan Johnson. He is survived by: his daughter West; his wife Jill Sampson; his children, Kirsten Sabia (Barry), Courtney Nixa, Kate Nixa (John Zivelonghi) and Josh Nixa (Lena); his grandchildren, Parker Boyd and Hudson Zivelonghi; his pet Emma; and his siblings, Sandra Gernhart, Kristine Brown, Nancy Gress, Steven Nixa, Joan Dean, Mark Nixa, Alan Nixa and Joseph Nixa.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Granby Ambulance Association.
