It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Camille Desmarais of Simsbury, Connecticut, born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Marjorie Crosby Desmarais; his former wife Diane Ehle Desmarais; his sister Catherine Desmarais Kunz; and also, George and Norma D'Arche Ehle.
He is survived by: his father Camille Desmarais; his wife Judith B. Gessford of Simsbury; his sister Marianne Desmarais Stuart of Alabama; his children, Matthew (Gina Desmarais) of Marlow, OK, Peter (Tiffany Desmarais) of Bristol and Katharine (Benjamin Floren) of Reading, PA.; and his stepchildren, Molly, Jeremy Ott of Amesbury, MA and David Gessford of Portland, OR. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and brother and sister-in laws.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church 11 Church St Tariffville, CT 06081 for the care of their historic buildings and grounds, a passion of Dave's.
