With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anita McCoy (Simsbury, Connecticut), born in Evanston, Illinois, who passed away on April 10, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Herbert V. McCoy, Jr.; her parents, William and Eleanor Newhart (Nelson); her daughters, Kristin O'Brien (Gregory) of Barkhamsted and Kimberly Pelzar (Richard) of West Granby; her sister Carol Branca (Joseph); her sister-in-law Julie Williams (Donn); her daughter-in-law Jacki McCoy; her grandchildren, Matthew McCoy (Valerie), Kevin McCoy, Stefanie Rice (Justin), Michael Pelzar, Daniel Pelzar, Alison O'Brien, Leanna O'Brien and Thomas Pelzar; her great grandchildren, Jenna, Raelyn, Madalyn, Lucas and Jaxon; her nieces and nephews, William Branca, Joseph Branca, Jennifer MacLaughlin, Dawn Larson and Scott Williams; and her son Herbert V. "Mick" McCoy, III.
