He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Waldron Hetherington of Vincent's Medical Center; and his parents, Francis and Bernice Hetherington (Mahoney). He is survived by: his children, Christopher Hetherington (Tricia) of Stratford and Maribeth Johnson of Bridgeport; and his sisters, Phyllis Simon (Bob Hamilton) of Bridgeport and Patricia Vitale (Eric) of North Carolina. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
