She is survived by: her husband Walter E; her daughter Dr. Lisa Pleban; her daughter-in-law Sue Ward of Wilton, NY; her daughter Wendy Grabarz; her son-in-law Robert Grabarz of Shelton, CT; her son Joel Pleban; her daughter-in-law Dr. Katherine Bothos-Pleban of Stratford, CT; her siblings, George Kaminsky (Helen) of Greenville, SC and Sharon Lawruszko of Stratford; her cousin Joyce Cayer (Jules) of Shelton; her grandchildren, Kristen Grabarz-Carlson, Stephen Grabarz and David Pleban; her nieces and nephews, Frank Pleban, John Pleban, Joe Pleban, Mark Lawruszko, Michelle Tartaglio, Michael Kaminsky, Sonya Colburn, Jeff Cayer and Josh Cayer; and her caregivers, Margaret Pinhiero, Andrea Cameron and Donna Benjamin.
The generosity that Sandy displayed throughout her life can be remembered through a memorial contribution to The Connecticut Burn Care Foundation.
