It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Newell of Shelton, Connecticut, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carleton B. Newell Sr. and Elizabeth Newell (Nicolaisen); and his siblings, Carleton Newell Jr., Doris Tkacs and Beverly Newell.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Newell (Hmurcik); his daughters, Kelly Smerglinolo of Naugatuck and Stephanie Newell of Shelton; his grandchildren, Gianna Smerglinolo and Gavin Newell; and his sisters, Karen Pavlinski of Texas and Eva Newell of Beacon Falls. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 16th at 10:30 a. m. meeting directly at St. Lawrence Church 505 Shelton Avenue Huntington. (Masks are recommended.).
