With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Katherine Gambacini of Shelton, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 10, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Katherine had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Katherine may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Nelson Gambacini; her stepmother Katherine McNamara (Mahan); her niece Lorraine Skibicki; and her nephew Melvin Davis. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Craig Gambacini (Robin) and Alcyne Lyons; and her cousin Raymond Wagner.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Riverview Funeral Home (390 River Rd, Shelton, CT 06484). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Margaret Mary Church (50 Donovan Ln, Shelton, CT 06484). A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. St. Peter Cemetery (219 New Haven Ave, Derby, CT 06418).
