As Fernando departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Fernando. Though Fernando may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Maria Alice Vaz. He is survived by: his wife Monica Vaz; his parents, Aristides Teixeira and Maria Ines Teixeira of Bridgeport; and his father-in-law Raul Vaz (Teresa) of Shelton.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home (419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (429 Huntington Rd, Bridgeport, CT 06608). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John Cemetery (500 Moose Hill Rd, Monroe, CT 06468).

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to an educational fund to benefit his daughter, Aliciana, checks made payable to Monica Vaz.
