He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Alterio and Corrine Alterio; and his siblings, Carl, Doris and Diane.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Grando Alterio; his son Michael Alterio (JoDee D'Agnone); his brothers, Louis Alterio and Ernest Alterio (Joanne); his grandson Michael Douglas Alterio (Erica); and his godson Anthony Alterio (Debbie).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Lawrence Church (505 Shelton Ave, Shelton, CT 06484). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Michael's Cemetery (2205 Stratford Ave, Stratford, CT 06615).
