He is survived by: his parent Margaret Hayes (D'Orsa); his wife Peggy Lyman Hayes; his children, Kathleen Hayes (Stephen Updegrove), Michael Hayes (Marianne Barnett) and Elizabeth Hayes Christopher (Scott Christopher); and his stepson Kevin Lynch (Julia Wynn). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two nieces and four nephews.
