He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur T. Coogan and Jesse H. Coogan; and his siblings, Marion Gardner, Beverly Boucher and Arthur T. Coogan, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Dean Coogan (Marleen), Martin Coogan and Scott Coogan; his stepson Michael Wilson; his grandchildren, Devin Coogan (Katelyn), Jared Coogan, Tara Grinham (Paul) and Bethany Coogan; his nieces and nephews, Tracy Finney, Lucy Coogan, Barbara Martel, Debbie Rossi, Lynn Warriner, Arthur T. Coogan III, B. J. Boucher, Brian Boucher, Brad Boucher, Steven Brodeur, Alan Brodeur and Martin Brodeur; his sisters-in-law, Laurie Brodeur and Joan Brodeur; his great grandchildren, Rylee, Tory and Zury Coogan; and his former wife Roberta Coogan Melzmuf.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Brooklawn Funeral Home (511 Brook St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Church of Christ (250 Main St, Wethersfield, CT 06109). The military honors was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
