He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Smietana Sr. and Josephine Tyrcha Smietana; and his son Mathew Joseph Smietana. He is survived by: his wife Roxanne J. Smietana; his daughter Stephanie Smietana of Colorado; his brothers, Stanley of Rocky Hill and Joseph Smietana of Rocky Hill; his brother-in-law Michael Maznio (Nancy); and his nephews, Michael Maznio (Melissa) and William Maznio (Bill).
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Rocky Hill Food Bank.
