She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony D'Onofrio and Elizabeth D'Onofrio (Sheehan). She is survived by: her sons, Albert Rizzo III and Skip (Janiece Turnbull); and her stepchildren, Keith Wood and Debra Wood Phelan (Daniel). She is also survived by children and many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home (580 Elm St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Josephine Bakhita Parish (767 Elm St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067). In 2020, at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, Virginia moved to California on a memorable cross-country journey with Skip in a mobile home, laughing and enduring his music the whole way.
