It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sydney Linford Pennycooke (Rocky Hill, Connecticut), who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland Pennycooke and Lynsie Ianthe Davis; and his sister Faye of Jamaica. He is survived by: his wife LoRetta LaNier-Pennycooke; his daughters, Genevra Pennicook of Jamaica, VaNessa LaNier of Washington, DC and VeNita LaNier of New York; his granddaughter Kayliyah Hall of Jamaica; his siblings, LaVerne, Averyell Pennycooke of Hartford, CT, Hyacinth Pennycooke of North Carolina, Genevra Davis of Jamaica, Mervan Pennycooke, Emry Patrick, Carl, Desmond and Dassie Davis of Jamaica; and his aunt Hillary Thomas (Winnie) of Hartford, CT. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
