It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sophie Markiewicz of Rocky Hill, Connecticut, who passed away on March 24, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Jan Markiewicz; her parents, Jan Strak and Julia Strak (Patoka); her daughter Irene; and her grandson Daniel.
She is survived by: her sons, John (Deb) of Wallingford and Chris (Cathy) of Rocky Hill; her grandchildren, Megan (Ted), Bryan (Renee) and Lisa Markiewicz; her great grandchildren, Morgan, Erik, Lauren and Jordan; and her friend Irma Fikus (Anna Sevryn). She is also survived by her four grandchildren.
It is suggested that contributions in her memory be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
