Rutherford Burgess Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rutherford Burgess in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on February 27, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Thornton Burgess; his son David Burgess; his parents, Leonard Burgess and Anna Burgess; and his siblings, Leonard Jr. and Gladys Kitchens.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kayla, Ashley, Tara and Crystal Burgess; his daughter-in-law JoAnn; his nieces and nephews, Jean Bonner, Pamela of Washington, Janice Miller, Juanita Savage, Wayne and Craig Burgess; and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Alexander, Alana, Mila, Antonio, Christopher, Kaleb, Juliana and Layla. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews and friends.

Due to Covid 19, there will be no calling hours.
