She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Whitaker and Doris Whitaker (Parkhurst); her husband C. Donald McKelvie, Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Kathryn, William McKelvie, Bruce McKelvie and George Jezek; and also, Marian and C. Donald McKelvie, Sr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela (Robert Amodio), Deborah (Michael Draizen), Judith (Michael Carnahan) and Carol (Stephen Anderson); her grandchildren, Kimberly Summerlin (Donald Amodio), Nicholas Amodio (Daniel Draizen), Amanda Draizen (Jennifer Carnahan) and Eric Anderson (Scott Anderson); her great grandchildren, Flynn, Kennedy Amodio, Ethan, Kayden Summerlin and Kyleigh Carnahan; her sister Nancy Jezek; her sister-in-law Carolyn McKelvie; and her nieces, Marilyn Chappel, Beverly Gniady and Mimi McKelvie-Burkes.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at the Wethersfield United Methodist Church (150 Prospect St, Wethersfield, CT 06109).
In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make a donation in her name to the Wethersfield United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or a charity of the donor's choosing.
