He was predeceased by: his father John F. Schmidt. He is survived by: his mother Arbutus Schmidt (Taup) of Center Line, MI; and his sisters, Pamela Schmidt of Center Line, MI, Sandra Evanoff of Warren, MI and Dawn Lipke of Center Line, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
