She was predeceased by: her husband Paul R. Barbuto; her parents, Dr. John S. Message and Hattie Message; and her half-sister Justine Irons. She is survived by: her children, Laura DeAngelo (Vincent) of Austin, Texas, Carolyn Martino (Robert) of Glastonbury, Connecticut and Paul Barbuto, Jr. of Newington, Connecticut.; her grandchildren, Jake Martino (Eliana Ramage), Marianne Chronister (Stephen), Robert Martino, Jr. (Caroline), Sara Morris (Benjamin), Julianne DeAngelo and Tina DeAngelo; her great grandchildren, Owen, Henry and Elliott Chronister; and her caregiver Margaret Asante.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Brooklawn Funeral Home (511 Brook St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Josephine Bakhita Parish-St. James Church (767 Elm St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067).
