He was predeceased by: his parents, Fernando Matos and Cecelia Ruis Matos; his sisters, Anna Lydia of Chicago and Hilda of Puerto Rico; and his half-siblings, Edie of Chicago, Chichi of Puerto Rico, Benjamin of Chicago and Fernandito of Puerto Rico.
He is survived by: his close friend Betty-Ann McGuiness; his grandchildren, Felicity of Indiana, Kailynn of Indiana, Jasmine of Indiana, Jocelyn of Indiana, Mia of Indiana, Macy of Indiana and Damion of Indiana; his daughter Giselle M. Matos; his grandsons, Darren and Alex of Meriden, CT; his sister Delia (Carlos); and his nephew David of Puerto Rico. He is also survived by his 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home (580 Elm St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
