He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Walter Tyler Sr. and Anna Tedford Tyler; his wife Joyce M. Tillman Tyler; and his siblings, Richard Tyler, Shirley Pease, Elenore Stead, David Tyler and Joyce Washburn.
He is survived by: his sons, Carl Tyler III, Steven Tyler (Kara) and Charles Tyler (Lorrie Atwood); his granddaughters, Erika Cooney (Jason), Molly, Addison and Bree; his brother William; and his sister-in-law Maureen Tyler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vernon United Methodist Church or the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
