She was predeceased by: her parent James Fass, Sr.; and her daughter Melissa Hancock. She is survived by: her parent Doris Fass (Knoth); her significant other Homemakers; her sons, James Hancock of Torrington and Michael Hancock (Josephine) of Torrington; her siblings, James Fass, Jr. (Janet) of Seminole, FL, Nancy Bleakney of Torrington, Lynn Stephen (John) and Virginia "Ginger" Krause; her husband James; and her grandchildren, Austin Kroh and Melissa Hancock. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.
