It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Joan Martin of Ridgefield, Connecticut, born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Corcoran and Mary Corcoran (Frail); her grandson Zachary Norman Porterfield; and her pets, Kiwi, Barnabas, Odin, Tempo and Laszlo.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Alshin (Adam) and Michael Martin (Marie Ascher); her grandchildren, Finlay Rose, Violette Alshin, Emmet, Samuel Martin, Melissa and Jade Ascher; and her brother John-Paul Corcoran (Virginia Corcoran).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kane Funeral Home (25 Catoonah St, Ridgefield, CT 06877). A prayer was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the Funeral Home Prayer Service (25 Catoonah St, Ridgefield, CT 06877).
