He was predeceased by: his parent J. Duke; his siblings, Ann McLeod and Rick Elkow; and his grandparents, John and Katherine Elkow.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Elkow; his children, Pamela Elkow (Dan Barrett) and Chris (Allison Elkow); his grandchildren, Hannah Reischer-Brode (Matthew Brode), Kiera Elkow and Sadie Elkow; and his great grandchildren, Maddie, Jack and June Brode.
Before Covid and health issues slowed them down, Jon and Barbara took advantage of early retirement for more adventurous travelling.
