We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2024, at the age of 100, Dorothy Franks of Ridgefield, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Dowd and Harry Dowd; her husband Rene Franks Sr.; and her son Rene Franks, Jr. (Rip). She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Gibson (Ken) of Bethel and Donna Caserta (Ken) of Stratford; her grandchildren, Heather Nelson, KC Gibson and Aimee Pinckney; her great grandchildren, KristenMary, Paul, Cole, Mathias, Abby, Keegan and Delaney; and her great great grandchildren, Gemma and Emmet.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dottie's memory, to Lodewick Children's Library, c/o Ridgefield Public Library, 472 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT 06877, reflecting Dottie's lifelong love of children and reading.
