He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Smith; his son Stephen Smith (Sonya Smith); his grandchildren, Glynn and Andrew Smith of Rhode Island; and his sisters, Carolyn Strickland and Barbara Carr. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
