He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Laporte and Alphonsine Laporte (Belanger); and his siblings, Arlene Vezina (Laporte), Francis, Donald and Richard.
He is survived by: his spouse Claire Laporte (Charron); his son Michael (Gail); and his grandchildren, Gino and Gianni. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law and loving nieces and nephews.
