Makayla Requeno Obituary
Makayla "Mika" Requeno, 17 of Putnam, CT., formerly of Worcester, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 after a lifelong battle with medical issues.
Mika was born on November 24, 2004 in Worcester, MA. She attended North High School in Worcester later moving to Putnam, CT in 2021 where she was set to be one of the graduates of Putnam High School, Class of 2023. Mika had a passion for art and photography. She loved taking pictures, K Pop music and cooking. Mika was famous for her mac & cheese. Mika had dreams and goals of becoming a CNA and was currently taking classes. She also aspired to pursue to be a lawyer or a mid-wife.
Mika is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Requeno; a sister Angelis Burgos both of Putnam, CT; her father, Danny Pincel of Pennsylvania; her maternal grandmother, Nelly Perez of Worcester; a great aunt, Fiordaliza Perez of Worcester; three aunts, Magaly Trinidad of Worcester, Santa Trinidad of Maryland and Celia Dulcine and her husband Emile of Norwich, CT; a uncle, Santos Requeno of Maryland; many cousins including Emilia Dulcine and Karina Requeno and her daughter, Anastasia and Cataleya, Alex and Aaron Sosa, Elizabeth Hernandez, and Mary Vilorio, her son Franklin Diaz and his son, Emerson Diaz all of RI; several aunts, uncles, friends and extended family.
A period of calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 4-7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17th at 11:30 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
